Photography/Photoshop Final Project

For my photography final project I took a picture frame and stood around outside trying to find the perfect pose.

After taking the picture we went back inside and I photoshopped a picture of a Spongebob wallpaper into the frame because I am Asian and Asians are yellow. Also I like Spongebob. It was hard making the Spongebob image the same size as the frame and I also had to skew the yellow thing because when I held the frame outside it was at an angle.

For my Newimal I combined a Sea Lion and a Grizzly Bear. They are very cute and can kill I think.

Also for one last one, I did the light drawing rave party.
That is me eating a bowl of rice with chopsticks because I am Asian. Morgan drew the very nice bowl of rice and I think Caitlin is in the back highlighting me because she wanted to.

Also since today is March 20, International Day of Happiness, here is a funny picture with my face

Acrylic Painting Final Project

For my final project in acrylic paint, I painted a mountain scene with dark, snow-capped mountains and white puffy clouds.

What does DPI stand for and what is the difference between a low DPI like 72 and a high DPI like 600?  DPI stands for dots per inch and is a measure of printing/video dot density. Specifically the number of dots that can be placed in the span of one inch. A low DPI like 72 would show a low quality image whereas a high DPI like 600 would show a high quality image.

What is an aperture and what do the different f stop settings mean? An aperture is a hole or opening through which light travels. It determines the cone angle of the rays that come to a focus.

What is shutter speed and what difference does it make?  Shutter speed is the length of time that the shutter is open. The shutter speed affects whether the image has a blurred object or a still object.

What is ISO in photography?  ISO is the sensitivity of the camera to the available light. The lower ISO, the less sensitive the camera is to the light.
